The CAC manages and delivers NCCP training through its partner network of 65 National Sport Organizations and Provincial\/Territorial Sport Organizations.&nbsp;In order to access coaching courses through the NCCP, you will need to create an account on \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/thelocker.coach.ca\/account\/login?ReturnUrl=%2f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Locker<\/a>\u2018 to get started. This free online portal offers training and resources for coaches to develop mental health literacy and positive coaching practices to improve performance and well-being in sport #MentalHealthIsOurSport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Making Headway in Sport<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/coach.ca\/sport-safety\/concussion-awareness\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Making Headway Concussion eLearning Series<\/a><\/em>&nbsp;modules will help you gain the knowledge and skills required to ensure the safety of your participants. This includes; preventing concussions, signs and symptoms, suspecting a concussion as well as ensuring athletes return to play safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Safe Sport<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Safe, inclusive sport environments help make sport rewarding and enriching for all. By completing&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/coach.ca\/safe-sport-training\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Safe Sport Training<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;you will gain the knowledge and skills to create healthy and safe environments by recognizing, addressing and preventing maltreatment in sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Coaches play an integral role in shaping the environment and experience for all participants. A coach is among the top most influential people on a young person\u2019s life. Visit the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/safesport101.coachesontario.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SafeSport101<\/a>&nbsp;website for more information and resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Understanding the Rule of Two<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The goal of the&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/coach.ca\/understanding-rule-two\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rule of Two<\/a><\/em>&nbsp;is to ensure all interactions and communications are open, observable and justifiable. It is one of three pillars of the Responsible Coaching Movement, along with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/coach.ca\/background-screening\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">background screening<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/coach.ca\/ethics-training\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ethics training<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Anti-Racism in Coaching<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Coaches in Canada play an integral role in creating a fair and inclusive environment for their sport. While the impact of racism in sports and coaching can be far-reaching, so can the effects of anti-racism coaching education. This&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/coach.ca\/anti-racism-coaching\"><em>Anti-Racism in Coaching<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;eLearning module provides information and guidance to help coaches support and advocate for racialized participants in sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mental Health in Sport<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Mental health impacts the quality of life and performance of both sport participants and coaches. The Coaching Association of Canada\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/coach.ca\/mental-health-sport\"><em>Mental Health in Sport<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;eLearning module was developed to&nbsp;educate coaches about&nbsp;mental health to empower them to&nbsp;effectively play a role in supporting the well-being of the participants in their sport program, while also supporting their own mental health.&nbsp;Sport is linked to a range of positive outcomes, including improved mental health and well-being.
