Learn to Dive Coaching Course

This course covers the fundamental coaching skills required to instruct Diving Plongeon Canada’s Learn to Dive Program. To complete this nationally recognized certification, successful participants will show competency in how to lesson plan effectively, hand spot dives safely, and teach an introductory level diving class. The course takes place in the classroom (at the KWDC training center) and in the pool (Waterloo Memorial Rec Center). Participants will be expected to get in the water. No diving experience is necessary- The course is open to anyone age 14 and older.

Time:
5:30-730 at the KWDC Training Center
And
8:00-10:00 at the Waterloo Rec Center Pool

Cost $100

In order to complete the course, attendance in all four days is required.

The course manual will be provided on a USB drive, so participants should bring a laptop to the classroom portion if possible. The instructor will have a limited number of hard copies on hand if a laptop is unavailable.
