Our Learn to Programs

Learn To Dive

We have Learn to Dive (LTD) levels which all begin with basics and progress through more difficult skills at each diver’s own pace. Our Learn to Dive levels are based on the LTD Program developed by Diving Plongeon Canada. The program is organized to introduce solid and safe instruction in basic movements for the beginning diver in a graduated structure. The program focuses on the success of the diver as they learn progressively more difficult skills.

We offer many different learn to dive classes.

  • Kinder learn to dive for 3 to 5 years of age.
  • Youth learn to dive for ages 6+.
  • Teen learn to dive for ages 13+.

Note: Divers must be comfortable and able to swim in the deep end.

Learn to Dive Dryland

In addition to pool classes, we offer classes at our dryland training centre. Dryland training allows divers to work on skills using trampolines, land drills, and diving boards that face large crash mats for landing.  This equipment allows divers to improve their technique in all aspects of their dives and develop the body strength required to complete more difficult skills. To register for this program, you must be currently enrolled in a pool learn to dive class.

Adult Learn to Dive

Interested in learning to dive and are an adult then the Masters program is for you.

Never jumped off a diving board before? Used to compete in diving years ago? From no experience to a once seasoned competitor, our Adult/Masters class runs 2 hours per week in the Pool, with the option of a two-hour per week Dryland class.

Our coaches work with you on skills from basic jumps to flips and twists – it all depends on your individual goals. For those who wish, Masters level competition at local meets may be an option! This program is offered in Waterloo. Divers must be registered in the Pool class in order to take the Dryland class.
